Application Process:
- Begin by filling out this volunteer application form in its entirety. This helps us understand your interests, skills, and availability.
- Phone Interview: We’ll schedule an interview to get to know you better, discuss your motivations, and ensure we are all in alignment with our mission and values.
- Background Check: Depending on the capacity you will partner with us we may require a background check; this is for the safety and security of our residents.
- Orientation: Attend an orientation session to familiarize yourself with GFL’s mission, policies, and procedures. This ensures everyone is on the same page and creates a cohesive supportive environment.
- Training: Depending on your role, you may undergo specific training to work effectively with the girls, emphasizing sensitivity, empathy, and understanding.
- Volunteer Schedule: Once onboard, we’ll coordinate a schedule that aligns with your availability and our needs. Regular commitment is appreciated, but flexibility is valued.
